You submit the enquiry

A conditional intake form, around five to ten minutes. Questions adapt to your import type — commercial, personal, or vehicle. No freight jargon, no irrelevant fields. We capture commodity, value, origin, timeline, and any regulatory profile.

We match the right partner

We screen against our vetted UK customs clearance partner network on commodity expertise, current HMRC authorisations, insurance, and track record. You receive an indicative quote from the matched partner, usually within two business days.

Your partner handles HMRC

They file the customs declaration through CDS, calculate duty and VAT, and clear your goods. You pay them directly. Portix Global never holds funds. We stay in the loop, and step in if anything goes wrong.

What you actually pay.

Portix referral fee
Paid by the partner, not by you. We do not mark up your customs bill.
Partner service fee
Set by the matched partner. Quoted to you up front before any work begins.
HMRC duty
Calculated against the UK Global Tariff at point of declaration. Paid to HMRC, not to anyone else.
Import VAT
20% standard rate against duty-inclusive value. Postponed VAT accounting possible if you are VAT registered.
Inspection or storage
Government and port charges where they arise. Paid directly to the relevant authority or port.
